To leverage from Mailgun email campaigns functionality and features, you may want to connect to Folderly for maintenance procedures.
The connection process will consist of two steps: SMTP credentials allocation in the Mailgun user cabinet, and domain connection to Folderly.
I. First, you need to create the SMTP Login and SMTP Password for your Mailgun sender account.
In your Mailgun user cabinet, go to [Send] -> [Sending section] -> [Domain settings] (1,2,3). Check if the active domain is the one you plan to connect to Folderly (upper right corner).
Next, select [SMTP Credentials] tab (4).
Click the [Add new SMTP user] button (5).
4. Enter a name for your Login (6).
5. Set the Password creation method to Automatic.
6. Click the [Create] button (7) to create an SMTP Login to be used for
Folderly integration.
7. After you create a user, make sure to copy (8) the password for this
SMTP user — for security reasons, Mailgun will show this password
only once.
8. Close the pop-up window.
9. You will now see the newly created Login in the list, and you can reset the password if you forget it.
II. Log in to your Folderly account.
To connect a mailbox to Folderly, you can click this button or:
If you don't have any mailboxes connected yet, click
[Set up Folderly] (1) on the Home page
If you already have some of your mailboxes connected, go to the [Mailboxes] tab (1) and click the [Add mailbox] button (2).
2. Select [Mailgun] (3) in the service providers list. Click [Next step] in
the lower right corner (4).
3. Enter your Mailgun SMTP details (5):
Enter [Login from Mailgun] to [SMTP Username]
Enter the copied password you created in Mailgun in [SMTP Password]
Select the SMTP Server Region
The easiest way to check the Region if you're not sure is through your Mailgun dashboard:
1. Log in to app.mailgun.com
2. Go to Sending → Domains
3. Your domain will show up with a region tag right next to it — either US or EU
You can reset a password for an SMTP User on the Mailgun Domain settings page if you forgot it.
Mailbox configurations:
[Email address] — Mailgun Sender Email, used for marketing campaigns.
[Sender name] — company or your name. Appears in the 'From' field of the recipient's mailbox.
4. Click the [Next step] button (6).
5. Finish the process by setting up an email template.
