What is DKIM, and how does it work?
Reputable email servers block fake senders to prevent scams. DKIM provides strong security by digitally signing emails and storing keys in DNS. Customize DKIM for smoother email delivery. It works behind the scenes, securing server-to-server communication. The sending server signs the email, and the receiving server checks it with a public key, maintaining email integrity.
How to set up DKIM with SparkPost
Go to the Domains tab and click "Add Sending Domain."
In the next step, you need to specify the type of domain to start with, it is Sending Domain, then specify the name of your domain in the "Domain" field
The last step is to add their SparkPost records to your domain registrar. This page is divided into two verification steps:
1) DNS verification: you need to copy the data you were given and add it to your domain registrar. Then wait 10-15 minutes and click on the "Verify Domain" button
2) Bounce: you need to copy the data and add a CNAME record to your domain registrar.
You can verify the domain via email if you don't have access to your domain's DNS. This option does not include DKIM installation, so we do not recommend it.
