The connection process will consist of two steps: New User Invitation to the Marketo account and an email address connection with Folderly.
1) Go to your Marketo account and click "Admin".
2) Go to "Users and Roles" on the left bar and click the "Invite New User" button.
3) Fill in the "Email", "First Name", and "Last Name" fields, and click "Next".
IMPORTANT. At this stage, the email address shouldn't be the email address you'd like to connect to Folderly. Now we create an Admin User for Folderly integration.
4) In the next step check the "API Only Role (all workspaces)" in Roles and "API only" checkboxes at the bottom. Click "Next"
5) Click "Send"
6) Go to "LaunchPoint" on the left bar and click "+New" at the top of the page.
7) The "Display Name", "Description", and "API Only User" fields should be the email from step 3. In the "Service" field choose "Custom", and click "Create".
8) You will see a new Service created.
9) Go to Folderly and click the "Add mailbox" button. Choose "Marketo" and click "Next step".
10) Go to Marketo to get the Client ID and Client Secret. Copy and paste it into the corresponding fields in Folderly.
11) To get an Endpoint, go to "Web Services" on the left bar and copy Endpoint from the REST API section. Paste it in Folderly, and click "Continue".
Insert the whole Endpoint link into Folderly, but Folderly itself will select the right part of the link, don't worry if the link doesn't look the same as in the Marketo settings
12) Get the Mailbox Settings by clicking "Email" on the left bar in Marketo.
From Email = Email
From Label = Sender Name
Click "Prepare environment".
13) On the next page click "Prepare environment"
and you will be prompted to the following page in Marketo. In the "Email" dropdown, you need to choose the option that contains the same email address you are connecting to Folderly.
14) Next you will see a green checkmark near the "Email"
15) Go to the "Smart List" on the top then drag and drop the "Member of Program" to the middle of the page.
16) Next, in the "Program is..." dropdown you need to choose the option that contains the same email address you are connecting to Folderly.
17) You will see a green check mark near the "Audience". At this stage, you will see new folders created in Marketo, you don't need to do anything with them.
18) Go back to Folderly and click the "Next step" button. The verification process may take up to 5 minutes.
19) Disregard new folders that will popup
At the end of the verification, Marketing Activities section will look like this:
YAY! You did it :)
After the email address is connected you may proceed with adding the template to start the Folderly process.
